Reviews of My IKEA Kitchen Installations

Lars made my kitchen remodeling simple. He visited a few months early to help me measure & design the best options (a separate service he offers). By the time he came back to install the cabinets; we knew things would work. He has superb attention to detail, was quick tocommunicate about any issues and solved problems I didn’t know I had. He worked quickly & kept the space clean. He has a delightful sense of humour, especially about my cat who fancied herself project manager + inspected each box he made. Lars is the man you want on your cabinet job.

Lars was a consummate professional. I couldn’t have asked for a better installer. He had excellent advice and attention to detail. We first hired him for an in-home consultation on the design and he made several improvements to what we had done with Ikea. Then we had him do the installation. He showed up, worked hard and smart and we are really pleased with the end result.

We are very happy with our new IKEA kitchen cabinets which Lars installed them for us.He also had helped us with planning. He provided very good suggestions then and along the way.His work and attention to details are amazing. He started on time (early morning as he had indicted before) and left us with a good and satisfactory results every single day. His schedule was followed perfectly and completed the project, even earlier on the last day!Highly recommend Lars to those who want to have IKEA kitchen cabinets installed. We enjoyed watching him working efficiently and meticulously, also talking together about different matters. We now call Lars a friend 😊

Lars is a pleasure to work with. Straight forward and direct, good advice with rationale for his recommendations, and extremely detail oriented in his work. He also has a great sense of humour and a friendly personality. I would recommend him to anyone without reservation.

I could not have chosen a better installer to help me with my kitchen renovation. I am a former architect and had spent many many hours designing my own new kitchen. Lars was wonderful at making suggestions for things that I had overlooked, and I could not be more happy with the end result.

Having Lars complete our kitchen was the best decision we made during our entire renovation process. We arranged for him to do the kitchen plan and subsequent installation - it was money very well spent! His craftsmanship is exceptional - he installed our cabinets in a 40 year old house, in an area that is not completely level or square, and the end result was perfect! In addition, he has open communication and constantly seeks feedback during the installation process to ensure you are happy with the end result.Lars is very reliable and professional in all interactions. He shows up when he says he will and provides accurate timelines for the work. If you send him correspondence, he will promptly reply. During our renovation we found out very quickly there are many contractors that don't do these things, resulting in a great deal of stress. I would highly recommend Lars for a kitchen planning session and installation.

Meticulous and professional Lars installed our new kitchen in January 2025. He is the best contractor we have ever worked with. He is an expert at what he does, and he gives clear and thorough advice. We had originally planned to do a (non-Ikea) kitchen with an interior designer, but the plan we had received was not to our liking. During our initial consultation with Lars, he came up with an alternate design plan that met our needs far better, and then efficiently guided us through the Ikea process. We worked with his recommended partners for demolition and countertops, they were also excellent. Our old, uneven house posed some challenges, but Lars was easily able to manage them and we are delighted by the end result. We are only disappointed that the does not do other projects!

Getting Lars to help plan and then install our kitchen was some of the best money spent during our house renovation. From the first day of measurements to the last day installing handles, Lars made sure everything was perfect. He was incredibly punctual (which we’ve learned is hard to come by in a tradesperson), and was super helpful when it came to ANY question involving the kitchen. I emailed him at least 10 different times asking questions or for his opinion. He always answered quickly and didn’t make me feel like I was burdening him with questions outside his scope of work. We ordered the door fronts from Kitch instead of IKEA, and he even helped with that order to make sure we didn’t miss anything. We saw his engineering background come out multiple times with quick, effective solutions to any curve ball the kitchen or material threw at us.Plus, he’s very funny and easy going, which is a good quality to have if you’re currently living in your space and will be around the person all day!Highly recommend Lars - worth every penny.

We love our new Ikea kitchen. Lars was pleasure to work with from initial house visit to completion, his work is absolutely top notch - great attention to detail, on time, organized, friendly, easy to communicate with. 10/10 give Lars a call, you will be glad you did!

We had an excellent experience working with Lars on our kitchen cupboard installation. From start to finish, he was professional, friendly, and easy to communicate with. He showed up right on time every day, which we really appreciated, and got straight to work without any delays. The job was completed faster than we expected, but without sacrificing any quality—his attention to detail was clear in every part of the installation. What really stood out was his eye for design. He came up with some fantastic ideas that we would have never thought of on our own—smart, stylish touches that made the most of our space and elevated the whole look of the kitchen. His input truly made a big difference in the final result. Our kitchen looks amazing now, and we’re truly thrilled with how it all turned out. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking for high-quality work, creative input, and a great overall experience. A true professional who clearly takes pride in what he does!

I hired Lars to help me with my kitchen in March 2025. I initially thought I would just update my existing cabinets, but with Lars' advice, it became clear that I needed a complete re-do...and Lars made that an easy and cost-effective process. He took me through the process of designing a more efficient and effective kitchen layout that met my needs, buying the right Ikea products, and doing the installation. Lars works quickly and meticulously and gives direct and frank advice. Despite my first impression of Lars as quite a serious guy, he was actually quite charming and fun to work with. I'm a little sad that it is finished! He was even willing to come back to make adjustments when my too-large fridge was delivered. Thank you so much for your help, Lars!

We are so happy with the excellent work done by Lars. He went above and beyond for us. Your paying for his knowledge, experience and incredible craftsmanship. He took his time to make sure everything was level and perfect. And on top of that he was so kind and a pleasure to be around. Trust me, you will not be dissappointed with Kitchens by Rannes. I highly recommend this company.

Amazing work! Lars is very kind, friendly and honest. Price was very fair for the excellent quality of work. Would highly recommend!! Thank you again!

Lars installed our Ikea kitchen cabinets. He was a pleasure to work with and his work is absolutely top notch - great attention to detail, on time, organized, friendly, easy to communicate with. Prior and during the install he made several useful layout/design suggestions that have improved the functionality and esthetics of the our kitchen. I could not be happier with his work and will be recommending him to family and friends.

Lars is very helpful, friendly and skilled. He revised our IKEA planner design to centre the stove with the island and recommended a few other changes that improved the look. The install was excellent and he made minor adjustments to get the kitchen perfect. The install took a week for a fairly kitchen vs the multiple weeks I would have needed. I am a skeptic of all great reviews, in this case it makes sense. A pleasure to work with and will recommend his services to friends.

Serendipity is when your friend gives you the name of a professional kitchen installer scrawled on a piece of paper and suddenly you do not have to live with a living room full of IKEA boxes for the next 6 months or more. Lars (Kitchens by Rannes) was available, incredibly helpful, and offered suggestions, which made the kitchen even better than the one that we had originally planned. The experience was so positive that I would highly recommend his professional service to anyone who is thinking about installing an IKEA kitchen. Lars is precise, genuinely cares about the work he does, and has impeccable attention to detail. We are beyond pleased with the results. Thank you!

Lars is the best Contractor we have ever used! I don't think I can review Lars as good as he deserves! We just finished an Ikea renovation (and we have never done one before) with Lars. His help was immeasurable with this process was SEAMLESS! His knowledge of the IKEA systems is better than than anyone! Lars created our design for us, as sometimes the Ikea design tool is not the easiest to manipulate, especially if you don't have perfectly square/rectangular kitchen as we did. He tweaked it to work for us as our kitchen was not a perfect "box" shape. Installation of the cabinetry took exactly 1 week. His work is so meticulous and he is responsive to questions and very HONEST. He guided us to a quartz company that he works with who were also phenomenal as well. Lars, we cant thank you enough for your expertise, your impeccable workmanship and your honesty. We are proud show off and boast about your work! Already gave your name to someone who was over for dinner!

The kitchen is the centrepiece of our home. We wanted the look and functionality of a custom kitchen and this was achieved without compromise at a fraction of the cost of custom. We booked Lars in a last-minute cancellation and within 6 weeks we went from preliminary design to a fully functional and beautiful new kitchen. (This feat can only be achieved by someone with exceptional talent guiding us through the process). Lars offered clever adjustments to our design to ensure no space was wasted. We followed his lead with the IKEA order ensuring a seamless process. The installation was a stress-free experience. We were able to live at home with a young child during the renovations with minimal disruptions to our routines. His professionalism and craftsmanship are rare. If you get the privilege of working with Lars, you won’t be disappointed.

Lars is fantastic. If you're having an Ikea kitchen put in, he is your guy. Lars is meticulous in his process and we could not find a single joint or connection out of place. His experience with Ikea products really stands out and he was able to modify an Ikea cabinet to help us salvage a 8" space with a 'customized' cabinet box using their drawer fronts as narrow doors that would have been wasted otherwise! That said, if you know you are going to ask for help with kitchen install, I would recommend having the design-process consult with him. We didn't do this because we'd already had another kitchen designer (plus the IKEA in-house designer) but wish we did. Ultimately, the person who puts these kitchens together daily will have valuable input and there are changes we might have made if Lars had been involved prior to finalizing our order. Lars' communication is excellent and he is very responsive. His Youtube videos are great and answer basically every question you might have about the install process. He won't hesitate to speak his mind if he thinks you're doing something wrong or if he's knows a better way from experience - don't let it rattle you! Better to have an open conversation about challenges than to find out after the fact and need to make changes. If you're going to DIY - then check out his youtube videos. If you're looking for help doing the full install - you won't go wrong with Lars!

Very happy with our new kitchen installation very efficient knowledgeable and lovely guy

We are so pleased with our renovated kitchen cabinets done by KITCHENS BY RANNES. With his experience and expertise, Lars made the kitchen renovation smooth and predictable. 1) Communication: Lars makes himself accessible, responds to emails, provides links to his YouTube videos explaining the process of the installation in detail. He tells you specifically what IKEA items you need to order. Lars guides you through the whole process. 2) Work Ethic: Lars is dependable. He notifies you ahead of time regarding scheduling dates for kitchen measurements, installations and any follow-up. He is punctual and tidy with his tools and cleans up after his done. If some IKEA items are on back order, Lars will come at a later date to complete the job. Lars is trustworthy, conscientious and takes exceptional pride in his work. We appreciated working with Lars. He is friendly and full of helpful suggestions from planning a kitchen layout to the installation of cabinets. He uses the IKEA online tool to complete the kitchen design and gives a complete list of IKEA items that we needed to order. Thank you Lars! We already have family and friends who are wanting your contact information!

Lars took or 80s looking kitchen and turned it into a contemporary masterpiece! It was a joy working with Lars every step of the way. During our initial consultation, he provided great ideas on the layout, functionality, aesthetics. His detailed plans made it a breeze to then deal with IKEA to purchase the various pieces. The actual installation went very smoothly. He showed up on time every day and worked diligently and meticulously. He always cleaned up after every day’s work with his portable vacuum and made sure to protect our other kitchen renos like our newly installed flooring. Lars finished the job within the established timeframe and we are blown away by the quality of his work. Lars also went above and beyond and helped us deal with some issues that stemmed from our IKEA dealings. He also came back after his job was done to help us deal with an issue caused by our contractor. We would hired Lars again in a heartbeat and would strongly recommend him to anyone who is considering an IKEA kitchen. He is UNMATCHED in terms of his expertise, professionalism and quality of work.

He was a gentleman very professional on time I would recommend him to everyone

This is the only way to go when thinking about an Ikea Kitchen. Excellent workmanship and finished product.

Lars was such a pleasure to work with. He exceeded our expectations, always answered our questions promptly and made sure we maximized our space. I highly recommend, plus it was fun to have him around for a week! Thank you Lars!

Lars installed by new Ikea kitchen cabinets in October 2022. I am extremely happy with the work he's done. l love my new kitchen. Lars is very professional, he really masters Ikea cabinet assembly and install. He reviewed the plan and order I got from Ikea, he's very methodological, organized and responsive, he keeps the place clean. Lars is very nice and pleasant to be around which is important when you have someone in your house for few days. I highly recommend Lars without any reservations, you won't be disappointed! Nancy, a truly satisfied client.

Lars did an excellent job with the IKEA kitchen installation. He was professional and his attention to detail is amazing. It is obvious that he knows IKEA cabinets well as he helped sort out many little issues that came up and offered excellent solutions. I highly recommend Lars fur your IKEA installation!

We used Lars from the design, all the way to the kitchen install. He was super responsive to emails, amazing attention to detail in the design and install, gave very clear instructions on what to order, was punctual when starting each day and his overall timeline was accurate, he was communicative through the install and remedied any issues that came up. I would highly recommend and if I ever install another Ikea kitchen, it would be Lars all the way!

Lars was fantastic from start to finish. Punctual, professional and very friendly. Help with suggestions and found work arounds for unexpected situations. Highly recommended. Thank you Lars!

Lars installed our ikea cabinets, and we couldn’t be happier. He was extremely helpful during the entire process, providing suggestions even during the installation. His attention to detail results in a beautiful kitchen.

I'm so glad I chose Lars to install my kitchen cabinets. Never have I come across a contractor so precise and meticulous in the work they do. The quality of workmanship really is phenomenal. Lars was punctual, friendly and happily explained any questions we had. Lars takes great pride in his work and it definitely shows in the end result. I would definitely recommend Lars to my friends, family and colleagues. If I could give 6 stars I would. 10/10.

From the start of the process until the end, Lars was amazing to deal with. He is very honest and upfront about everything which we loved, he provides detailed explanations and also has useful YouTube videos that I would encourage everyone to watch (even the one on which knobs to select). He explains everything thoroughly and is always quick to reply to your questions (I had a lot). He is very punctual, accurate and he made the process of renovating our kitchen delightful. I would have no issues recommending him to anyone, in fact we already gave his name out twice. I would also recommend getting Lars to do your Ikea kitchen plans (he knows what he's doing) and when it's time for installation make sure to watch the video (Sorting practices) it will save you a lot of time. We are so happy with our new kitchen. Thank you Lars!

We lovw our new kitchen! Lars was really helpful with planning our kitchen and the quality of his work is amazing. Thank you!

Lars did an amazing job both in the planning phase and the actual installation phase. He always showed up exactly on time and demonstrated an incredible attention to detail. During the planning, he was able to quickly determine what height cabinets would work, even with two different ceiling heights through the kitchen. After some quick back-and-forths, he had put together an excellent layout for the kitchen.

During the actual installation, he was able to get everything assembled and on the walls quickly, which gave a great overview of what everything would look like. At that point, he was able to spot that it would be possible to make a minor adjustment to the design and change some filler space into actual usable cabinet space, which was a huge improvement. During the whole installation process, Lars was friendly and always willing to explain why he would do something in a particular way (and it always seemed like a good choice!). He was respectful of the space and able to work relatively quietly (As quietly as one can do home renovations - Helpful while I was working upstairs).

Overall, Lars demonstrated an extreme level of expertise as well as an intimate familiarity with the Ikea product line that he was installing. All of that adds up to an extremely efficient and well put together kitchen that turned out looking and feeling fantastic and sturdy!

Lars was an absolute professional- his installation services, craftsmanship and attention to detail were second to none. Would use his services & skills again and recommend him without any hesitation.

We are so pleased with Lars. Made knowledgeable changes to Ikea plans and improved design to make everything work. After delivery from Ikea Lars came in on a Wednesday and was finished by weekend. The attention to detail really stands out. Would not hesitate to recommend Lars in a heart beat. Thank you Lars for our wonderful kitchen.

Lars was extremely helpful and provided an excellent service while installing our IKEA kitchen cabinets. We would recommend him to anyone thinking of installing an IKEA kitchen.

We have just completed our kitchen renovations with Lars. He has received a consistent 5 star rating because he deserves each star. His knowledge, professionalism, attention to detail and honesty have made our experience extremely positive. We knew what kind of kitchen we wanted and he worked with us to design a kitchen that was both beautiful and functional. There was never a feeling of being pressured to upsell . The estimate was exactly what it cost. He is also such a lovely person, we enjoyed having him in our home . We absolutely could not be happier with our kitchen and without reservation would recommend him.

I’m so glad that I chose Lars to install my ikea kitchen. He has gone above and beyond my expectations creating the kitchen plan to installing it. Lars is extremely professional, shows up on time, fulfils every promise he makes, and is an absolute delight to work with. I will be recommending him to all my family and friends.

Lars is the IKEA-cabinet guru. I’m so grateful that he helped us design our new kitchen and gave ideas on how to increase our counter space.

I was impressed by his work ethic and professionalism. He is also a nice person to have around, which helps! He works smart; he is organized and punctual (unusual for contractors), which helped get the work done as quickly as possible. Thank you, Lars!

Lars remodeled the kitchen in my parents' house earlier this year and has done a fantastic job. He proposed reconfigurating the kitchen and drew it out on Ikea's Kitchen planner, changed the location of the appliances in the plans, built and installed all cabinets, cut all pieces outside, cleaned up the work area after he left. He was always on time, honest and meticulous. Though the kitchen is only 9x13, the smart layout and effective use of space meant that every available inch was used for storage, resulting in a kitchen that feels much roomier than its size would suggest. Lars was so efficient and knowledgeable in Ikea products that he got the whole kitchen wrapped up in a little over 2 days. Excellent service, very fair prices and best money spent on my parents' renovation. If you're on the fence, definitely do not hesitate and contact the guy.

Lars is the very definition of professional from beginning of your contact with him through completion of the project --- and all at very reasonable cost. Lars gets top marks from us.

There are many good things to say about Lars and his work but I will keep it brief:
- Very quick to respond by email and answer any of your questions
- Was very patient when dealing with many of my design changes
- Will make an extra part list with you that IKEA can forget to give you
- Gives good design advice because he knows the IKEA products extremely well. Ends up saving you money in the end too
- When it came time to start work, he was very punctual and ready to start work.
- Very professional and works very quickly, again because he knows the products he's working with inside and out
- I very much appreciated his high attention to detail when installing everything. Small choices during the installation process can make a big deal in the end result. He will consult you on his ideas just in case. I was very satisfied with his choices (coming from someone who also has a high attention to detail) and answered my many questions during the installation process.

Overall, Lars knows exactly what he's doing and if you are doing an IKEA kitchen, you'd be doing yourself a disservice if you don't choose him. We ended up with a kitchen we absolutely love and he worked within the many constraints that our kitchen had in terms of layout. Could not recommend him more!

Look no further!
We were extremely pleased to have found Lars to install our Ikea kitchen. From start to finish, Lars was exceptional and meticulous. He even picked up on errors which the Ikea kitchen planner had made, and corrected them. Our crazy kitchen with crooked walls were not a problem. His professionalism and the quality of his work is unbeatable. We would highly recommend him!
We just love our Ikea kitchen!!!
Thanks again Lars!

I am really happy with the overall experience. Lars did an amzing job and provided a great care and excellent services. The cabinets installation was smooth and really quick. It took Lars 4 days to build and to install all cabinets. I highly recommend Lars.

If you think that shopping for cabinets, tap sets, backsplash and appliances is the “ piece de resistance” of a kitchen remodel, think again. I thought that too. But the style, the colour or the price of your kitchen doesn’t guarantee a successful Renovation if the installation isn’t done properly. That is why the search for the right kitchen installer is what you should focus your efforts on. Choosing Kitchen by Rannes was the best and most satisfying part of the remodel. After meeting with me Lars suggested a plan based on my needs, and after a few adjustments I was ready to order my kitchen. Although the pandemic hit us in the middle of the renovation, everything went smoothly and the schedule was kept. I had some concerns about my not-so-straight walls, but Lars has a solution for every problem. Expected or unexpected. Issues came up with the plumbing relocation : Lars solved it. Lars will take the time it takes to get the job done perfectly. There is no room for error. Lars will meticulously adjust or even shorten any standard size ikea part to fit your space. Drawers open smoothly. Cabinet doors line up. Hardware is also aligned perfectly. In the end your IKEA kitchen is basically a custom kitchen. If you want to avoid the headache that normally comes with a kitchen renovation I strongly recommend that you contact Lars. You will be glad you did. ,

Lars did an amazing job and was so great to work with. He exceeded our expectations!

Lars exceeded all of our expectations. From our initial meeting to finishing our kitchen he went above and beyond to ensure that things were done as planned and to our satisfaction.
Lars responded quickly to all our calls and emails. No question or idea was to small for him to take the time to reply or discuss at length.
Lars had a plan for our kitchen and executed it as planned. On time, on budget.
Lars's friendly disposition made the whole kitchen install a wonderful
and positive experience. Money well spent for sure, you will not be disappointed.

Thank you Lars!!

Lars did a fantastic job building my very large and complex Ikea kitchen. He is meticulous and precise. My kitchen looks fantastic and very happy with the final product. Lars was incredibly helpful figuring out the finer details for the kitchen design and knows what parts are needed for everything to fit perfectly together. Highly recommend!

I googled “expert IKEA kitchen installation” and Lars was the first hit. I usually use folks that have been recommended by friends but as soon as I met Lars I had a very good feeling. Lars is the best service professional that I have ever had the pleasure to work with. He developed a great plan for my kitchen very quickly and was amenable to modifications on design elements when there were things with which I was not entirely satisfied. Lars takes pride in his work which is exceptional with strong attention to detail and he was super flexible in making changes throughout the project. He is trustworthy and a pleasure to have around - he made my kitchen project enjoyable. I got excellent value for money - there are no surprises given his pricing system. I highly recommend using Lars.

We recently had Lars advise us on our kitchen plan and install our new IKEA cabinets.

We have dealt with many home professionals over the years and Lars is by far the most professional we have had the pleasure of working with.
From first contact he answered emails in a timely manner and always arrived when scheduled. His input was always constructive and geared to a functional AND beautiful kitchen.

Often there are details lost between a designer and installer. Lars is an IKEA cabinet expert. He knows what will and will not work as he not only designs the layouts he's the man installing them.

We are absolutely thrilled with our new kitchen and couldn't have asked for anything more. THANK YOU, LARS!

Lars was truly amazing! The house that I purchased needed a new kitchen, and we practically started the planning of it before I got the keys and access to it. The day after I took possession, Lars came for a quick visit of the house and took measurements then we went back and forth with floor plans via the IKEA planner as well as communicated via email. Lars never missed a beat, and when the time came for install, he was prompt, and worked very efficiently and worked hard. He knew what he was doing and the end result shows. Even when the kitchen was all complete, and my appliances showed up a few days later and the fridge did not fit due to a mix up of the store sending a bigger fridge, Lars came and made the appropriate adjustments for it to fit! Truly amazing in my books! If you are looking for the best...look no further! Lars will help you get your dream kitchen. Thank you Lars.

Lars did an amazing job on our new IKEA kitchen. He was very helpful in making the necessary changes to the design. At all times he was courteous and professional. We highly recommend Lars for his work. Everyone is raving about the kitchen!

Lars installed my IKEA Kitchen, he arrived within minutes of his stated arrival time each morning. He kindly pointed out some assembly errors on some of my other IKEA furniture while he was here and fixed them as well. He has been quite responsive in all the times I've had to message him. He took the measurements, made up the plan, disassembled the old kitchen cabinets, assembled, and mounted everything and I've had no issues with any of it. His price was quite reasonable. I did have to contract a plumber, electrician, and tiling separately but Lars was very up front about this during the initial consultation and planned his work to make sure everything would be ready for them and it was. I would highly recommend asking Lars to install your next IKEA Kitchen.

We are so happy to have found Lars. It didn't take long for people to ask us for his contact information once they saw our new kitchen. We would recommend Lars to anyone. Lars is extremely skilled -- thankfully he helped with our design, confirmed our measurements, and customized a few cabinets to fit in our odd-shaped kitchen.

Lars provided a detailed list of items to purchase, including extra items that allowed him to customize the size and placement of the cabinets.

Lars left the area extremely clean and organized. He arrives on-time, works when he says he will, prompt, a fantastic work-ethic, professional, honest, efficient. Highly recommend Lars and look forward to our next project.

Lars was extremely professional and had great attention to detail in installing my new kitchen. The communication was always excellent, detailed and Informative. Lars also spent a lot of time helping us when little surprises came up. I would definitely recommend kitchens by Rannes

I would highly recommend getting Lars to help you design your kitchen from the very beginning. I began on my own and asking him from the start would have made the project much easier. Lars is very professional and conscientious. He put the kitchen together much faster and better than we ever could have and he was quick to point out any missing pieces so we could get them without holding up the project. He leaves the worksite very clean at the end of the day and my kitchen looks gorgeous. Well worth the money spent for all his services.

Lars took my initial design and polished it. Together we produced an amazing kitchen. He built my dream kitchen and it turned out better than I had hoped. He was full of great suggestions and he always went that extra little bit to make everything that much better.

Ok..! When was the last time you had any Trades person not ask for a deposit upfront...? Not only did Lars provide excellent workmanship but also did it in a Professional, Prompt and Courteous fashion...his Free estimate was Hundred's of $$$'s below his competition and on top of it all took off another $100 when he realized he had overcharged on an item...this was done on his own accord showing how honest he is...!:-)
I would say that if you have the opportunity to utilize his services it would be highly recommended. You won't be disappointed.

Another great kitchen done by Lars! We would like to thank Lars very much for his great service and his excellent craftsmanship.

He is a very knowledgeable, professional, honest and friendly person.

Thanks to him, we will enjoy our kitchen for years to come!

Highly recommended if you are looking to get a proficient, high-quality service in kitchen installation.

Working with Lars has been an absolute pleasure. Not only was he punctual and professional, but his work was also of the highest quality and he provided some great feedback and ideas as he completed the project.

He was prompt to provide an estimate and the price was highly competitive.

I would strongly recommend hiring him!

I definitely recommend Kitchens by Rannes. I received compliments on the kitchen plans he has worked on when I went to IKEA to place the order for the materials.

When it came to installing the cabinets, Lars was always punctual; he went above and beyond to ensure that everything was properly installed; and stayed within budget.

I highly recommend Lars I feel very fortunate to have found Lars and I felt comfortable with him right from the start.

He made some very useful suggestions for the design of the kitchen, which greatly improved the layout.

He really knows IKEA kitchens, and he did an amazing job installing ours.

Lars is meticulous and pays close attention to detail so you can be assured that the installation will be top-notch.

He is reliable and punctual (it's scary how punctual he is) and since he has installed many IKEA kitchens, he knows how long a job will take him and how much it will cost.

Everything is above board--he doesn't promise anything that he can't deliver. And he's a nice guy with a good sense of humour!

I highly recommend him to anyone who is considering installing an IKEA kitchen!

Highly recommend Lars We had the very good fortune of stumbling across “Kitchens by Rannes” when looking into options for the installation of an Ikea kitchen.

Working with Lars for the design and installation of our Ikea kitchen was nothing less than a terrific experience.

Lars is skilled, knowledgeable and extremely meticulous in his craftsmanship. We appreciated his expertise of Ikea cabinetry. It is clearly evident that Lars takes pride in his work. He is attentive to both the functionality and pleasing aesthetic appeal of kitchen design.

Lars kept an impressively tidy and organized workspace. He was patient and listened to the “evolving” vision we had for our kitchen space. He asked the right questions and provided excellent and helpful design ideas to gently guide us through our kitchen reno.

Thank you, Lars. It was a true pleasure to work with you.

We are very excited to enjoy our new kitchen with our family.

Best kept secret in the Ottawa area! You will not be disappointed.

Specializes in Ikea kitchens!

We recommend Lars I highly recommend Lars Rannes to install your Ikea kitchen.

After working on my husband to let a “professional “ install our cupboards I found Lars after searching various people/companies who will do this.

He arrived promptly at 7:30 every morning and he even sounds like the guy on the Ikea ads!

We had our kitchen done in three days. He was professional and very exact with everything he did.

We had our counter put in two weeks later and then Lars came back promptly to make any final adjustments.

We love our kitchen and my husband, who gutted and renovated our house, therefore reluctant to pay for installation, was extremely pleased. Not only was he impressed with Lars’ knowledge and expertise he was also impressed with the system IKEA has created.

Any of our questions about lighting valances, side panels and cabinet hardware selections Lars always had thoughtful well informed advice.

We are extremely pleased with how well put together our kitchen is and after several months it continues to function as smoothly as when it was first installed.

Knowledgeable and skilled IKEA installation. Excellent solutions to specific requirements.

Lars is a pleasure to work with. Seriously, this guy Lars has done the most professional Ikea kitchen installation for my rental home.

From the start of planning the kitchen to finishing, Lars is a pleasure to work with. Not only did he take into consideration my budget and wants, but also the perspective of the tenant's kitchen issues, after all, they are actually using it.

I am happy that Lars suggested an upgrade for the cabinets as I wanted to use the bottom end of Ikea kitchens. Lars was right, the upgrade looks amazing. After the final design was completed, I informed Lars that I wanted to wait for an Ikea Kitchen event. Then it happened the big Ikea Kitchen Event! It was two to three months later after the initial design but Lars fit us in with our schedule.

Lars even corrected a mistake that was made when I ordered one of the cabinets sizes wrong and replaced it with the right one just because it would look better.

That’s attention to detail.

Lars even installed the flooring when the flooring installer was unavailable, Lars did not let this project lag behind. In four days Lars had installed everything - flooring, cabinets, countertop, microwave, under-counter lighting, dishwasher, taps and even the kitchen sink.

Look no further than Lars, he is detailed oriented and immaculate professional with a sense of humour who actually cares about the outcome of your project. Lars is worth every loonie.

We could not be happier... but I do wonder if he will do Ikea bathrooms? Hmmm... when’s that event start.

He was fantastic to work with! Lars installed our Ikea island. He was fantastic to work with!

He gave us far better advice than the Ikea kitchen consultants themselves, he adjusted what we had ordered to fit our space and gave us great suggestions that both saved us money and made the space work better for our family.

He also arrived exactly on time and finished the work before the schedule.

He is highly recommended!

Amazing work. Lars is incredibly professional, thorough and dedicated.

He took my incredibly crooked walls and ceiling and made an Ikea kitchen look straight.

He is punctual, no BS, no hidden extras, and he found mistakes made by the designer that would have driven an amateur installer nuts trying to figure out.

He even does a follow-up visit to make sure everything is working properly and fine-tunes any issues.

I can't recommend Kitchens by Rannes enough. You will not be disappointed.

Awesome experience. Lars is very meticulous, he takes his time and makes sure that you get exactly what you want.

Always on time, keeps a clean workspace and doesn’t mind working around cats.😀

I would definitely recommend him to any of my friends and family.

Can't get any better than Lars This guy is the real deal, I was blown away with his service and efficiency. He's is honest and doesn't beat around the bush which I appreciate. I am already recommending him to friends and family as they are blown away with my beautiful kitchen.

The fact that he is so affordable is the icing on the cake. So satisfied from start to finish.

Thank you, Lars

Kitchens by Rannes gets two thumbs up from me! I had the pleasure of working with Lars Rannes on multiple projects and they all turned out perfectly.

Our projects included a new kitchen with a matching built-in dining room hutch and a built-in desk, a custom wine cellar, and a custom built-in TV wall unit.

Kitchens by Rannes’ area of specialty is working with kitchens (and he especially loves IKEA cabinetry). It is clear that Lars enjoys the work he does. He assisted us with our entire project, from initial design and measurements to ordering, to installation.

He has a strong work ethic. He works to perfection. His pricing is also very competitive especially given the excellent quality of work provided.

Lars also has a multitude of skills in various areas of home improvement and therefore he has completed countless other projects for me (for example he installed a gorgeous new patterned ceiling in our basement spare room, he also installed various new lighting etc..

Thank you so much to Kitchens by Rannes. We had wonderful working experience with our renovations and we are still so pleased with the results.

Highly recommended Excellent service from start to finish!

Right out of the gate Lars had some suggested mods to the IKEA order which was greatly appreciated. He takes great care with his work and uses meticulous attention to detail.

He did an excellent job of installing our kitchen. I was really glad that I didn't undertake the project myself since the walls were not straight and true.

But Lars carefully adjusted to achieve an optimal result and all at a most competitive price.

I will certainly engage Lars again for future projects of this nature and "highly recommend" him to all.... you are in good hands the Kitchens by Rannes

Very efficient We have used Lars on a few different projects for 2 different homes and we wouldn't think of using anyone else.

He is ALWAYS on time, very efficient and comes with a van-load full of tools.

He has built quite a bit of IKEA furniture for us and done some bathroom reno. He has an artistic eye and often makes suggestions we would never think of.

On top of everything else. He is a very nice man.

Lars is an excellent craftsman. He pays a lot of attention to details and offers good recommendations.

He’s very hardworking and is a perfectionist.

We were very happy with our kitchen renovation work by him
